Summary

The PC role-playing game, one of the most saturated genres in home PC entertainment, is still popular among the PC-owning community. From the legendary Ultima to the luscious Everquest, these games are vast and complex. Virgin’s Art of Magic is no exception.

After a beautiful introduction, Art of Magic introduces the player into a world where Law and Chaos are at war. In a world full of primitive mortals, you discover your own superior powers. You will learn to summon and control dangerous beings for your own gain. You must develop your abilities and improve them to ultimately become a master of the Art of Magic. Intriguing, isn’t it?

Unlike many other role-playing games for PC, Art of Magic has been developed in full 3D, allowing the player to roam the complex environments of the game freely. Game locations are vast, unique, and demonstrate the developers’ amazing imagination and creativity.

But don’t admire the scenery for too long, for the world of Art and Magic is not sparsely populated. On the contrary, many times will you be faced nasty creatures capable of mutilating you in a matter of seconds. Balancing the odds just a little is a bestiary of extremely powerful spells of both offensive and defensive nature. Whether you summon deadly Dragons and Storm Giants, or cure simple status ailments, all is significant when making progress in this challenging game.

There are 30 huge levels in all, but if that is not enough to satisfy your appetite for battles, you can participate in the ultimate multi-player battle over the Internet.

With all the aforementioned features, particularly the ability to play online, Art of Magic offers an infinite amount of incredibly engrossing gameplay. Enough said.
