Summary

Mario Party is back with Star Rush, giving players the opportunity once again to team up with Mario, Peach, Donkey Kong and their pals in what might be the most portable Mario Party game ever.

The real headline for this outing of the series is the inclusion of simultaneous play. In the all-new Toad Scramble mode players all roll their dice at the same time and move freely across the board as a toad. That means no more taking turns to play, so players can have faster and more strategic matches. Players can then get the upper hand by recruiting characters like Mario who are scattered across the world map, each bringing their own tactical advantages.

The game's Party Guest software means that players can do all this in competition with their mates using just one copy of the game!

Coinathalon, meanwhile, takes the randomness of dice rolls out of the game and has players compete in a frantic rush of mini-games as they race around the board, collecting coins and aiming for the finish line.

Alternatively, there's Balloon Bash mode which combines traditional Mario Party rules with simultaneous play and a limited number of turns to make for a highly strategic multiplayer mode.

Or, if you prefer to go it alone you're still well catered for with over 50 mini-games and seven gameplay modes to take on!
