Summary

Beat-'em-ups shouldn't be as epic as Injustice 2. This second game in the dark world of Injustice promises a story with a scope usually only offered in massive RPGs like Mass Effect.

The Justice League is fractured. Batman and Superman vie for control while the evil Society makes trouble and Brainiac masterminds what might be the greatest threat the DC Universe has ever seen.

In keeping with these divisions, players must choose a faction to fight with. Whether it's Superman's powerful group, including heavy hitters like Wonder Woman; Batman's resistance with fighters like Green Arrow and Black Canary; Grodd's Society of villains or loners like Brainiac, players will encounter a deep bench of playable characters. Newcomers include the likes of Captain Cold, Firestorm, Deadshot and Robin!

They'll all be upgradeable, too, thanks to a new gear system that enables players to gain new abilities and stats thanks to the kit and powers they can acquire.

New to the series is 'Multiverse' mode. It's similar to the 'Living Towers' mode in another beat-'em-up from NetherRealms, Mortal Kombat X, allowing players to travel through different parallel universes with various modifiers that will affect play.

Of course, this all comes package with a multiplayer mode that offers a raft of game types and a guild system to up the ante!

With the Legendary Edition players don't just get the base game, they also get a host of DLC that's been released since Injustice 2 first came out, including playable characters like Darkseid, Red Hood, Starfire, Sub-Zero, Black Manta, Raiden, Hellboy, Atom, Enchantress and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and skins including Power Girl, John Stewart Green Lantern, Reverse-Flash, Grid and Black Lightning each with unique looks, voices, and dialogue. On top of THAT, there's also the Learn Hub, the game's expanded tutorial, new gear items for all characters, a boosted character cap of 30 and the new augment slot that comes with it. In other words, an embarrassment of extra content!
