Summary

Corvo Attano has returned in Dishonored 2, but he's not alone.

This sequel is set 15 years after the events of the first game, with the Lord Regent long since vanquished and the rat plague passed into history. All is not well, though. A strange usurper has seized the throne of Karnaca from Empress Emily Kaldwin and the fate of the Isles hangs in the balance.

The game once again leaves it up to the player how they want to take on this threat, and it now offers more choice than ever. You can now choose whether you want to reprise the role of Corvo, or play as the deposed Emily Kaldwin. Each presents their own set of supernatural abilities (which the player can choose to either use or reject) and their own approach.

Players can also choose whether to play the game quietly, using stealth, or with all-out force. There are even new upgrades to abilities that allow them to be used non-lethally. If you choose to go for the kill, though, you'll be able to create chaos by killing characters, destabilizing the world.

The world itself is new, too. Karnaca, capital of Serkonos, is a coastal city inspired by southern European cities from countries like Italy and Spain, powered by wind turbines but besieged by dust storms.

It's into this world that you must step, deciding what sort of fighter you wish to become...
