Got info on James Hannigan?

Active for ten years in games, James Hannigan has worked with the likes of Electronic Arts, Microsoft, Digital Anvil and Elixir Studios and his many credits include Republic: The Revolution, Freelancer, Brute Force, Privateer: The Darkening, Theme Park World, Conquest:Frontier Wars, Grand Prix 4 and Reign of Fire. Between 1995 and 1997, Hannigan was based at Electronic Arts Europe and, outside games, his credits include sound design for Lost In Space (Golden Reel Award nomination for Sound in 1999) and numerous tracks within the Chappell and BMG Atmosphere libraries. His work on Bullfrog's Theme Park World (Sim Theme Park) contributed to a shared win in the BAFTA Interactive Awards Sound category in 2000. In the same year, Hannigan's operatic music for EA Sports' FA Premier League Manager received a nomination for Music, as did Theme Park World.

Along with conventional linear music, Hannigan likes to emphasise the importance of integrating music with games. He feels content creators should import the values, ideas and production methods of other industries when applicable, but should also be technically and stylistically led by the unique medium and culture of video games. He is continually looking at novel ways of weaving together music, gameplay and gamestate and believes a close working relationship with project audio coders is highly beneficial.

Currently working on Elixir Studios' forthcoming Evil Genius, Hannigan is hoping to take his approach to 'interactive music' further than ever.
