Summary

Playerunknown's Battlegrounds has, arguably, been the breakout success of the free-for-all survivalist genre on PC. Now Xbox One players can get in on the action in this all-out fight to the finish.

Developed by Playerunknown (aka Brendan Greene) of ARMA 2's DayZ MOD and ARMA 3 fame in conjunction with Blue Hole, this game is a merciless multiplayer shooter that's had players on the edge of their gaming chairs.

It starts on a plane. You're flying over a massive combat zone that's 8km x 8km across and you have to decide when to jump out. Spotting where the other players are landing will be part of your decision, but there's another twist. Around the combat area is an electrical force field, and it's gradually contracting, forcing every other player closer to the centre of the environment. And with up to 100 players on the map and out for blood, it could be mighty crowded in there.

This is the central tension of Playerunknown's Battlegrounds. You want to be the last man standing, so getting out of sight and scavenging for weapons while the others shoot it out is a smart move, but that forcefield is driving you ever closer to the centre of the map and the slaughter that, sooner or later, will ensue there.

PUBG on PlayStation 4 launches with three iconic maps: Erangel, Miramar, and Sanhok. It includes all major features, ranked system, event mode, achievements and much more.

This is a game poised between survival and all-out gunplay, and now PS4 players can join the fight.
