Summary

Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Kenny make their PlayStation debut in a game that really can't decide which genre it wants to occupy. It could be an adventure, as you are charged with saving the town from being destroyed by a giant comet. It could be a platformer, as your character runs around the streets of South Park, meeting up with turkeys (yes, turkeys) and pelting them with snowballs to repel their unwanted attentions, which could be construed as some kind of shoot 'em up. These vicious fowl beget more turkeys from their rears as they are bombarded with the white stuff, and the whole scene soon turns into a frantic blizzard of a free-for-all. Mutant clones of the major South Park characters also make the odd appearance, adding to the unpleasant goings-on. There is also a puzzle element here: it soon becomes clear that this game baffles as you plough through snowy scene after snowy scene. Just like descending mist, sometimes it's difficult to see what's happening on screen.

If you're familiar with the TV show, then you'll know what to expect from this title. It's not exactly obscene material, no-one is going to feel violated after playing this game, but if you're not a fan of puerile toilet humour, then South Park will not be your (colostomy) bag. If the thought of a talking piece of poo doesn't do it for you, then stay away.
