Summary

Rev up your PS2 and go from zero to 200mph in seconds!

Formula Challenge is a fast-paced Grand Prix racing title for 1-2 people, allowing players to experience the speed and adrenaline of high-octane racing.

Based on Formula 1 and Formula 3000 racing cars, the game allows players to race across tracks from Britain to Brazil, with ten tracks selected across the five continents.

With a selection of individual teams and international tracks, the player can race in a variety of modes from Europe to Asia, America to Africa.

Game modes offer a single race for a quick spin or full championship for a longer challenge; both have the choice of solo or two-player racing. For two players, a split-screen mode enables head-to-head competition.

The full range of racing options are featured in a simple-to-use and easy-to-play style: gear ratios are quick to set up and championships easy to enter.

The arcade-style gameplay is fast and fluid; the cars reaching speeds over 200mph and the physics set to give the player some latitude in the car handling (tiny mistakes will not send the car spinning to destruction!). However, the opponents are unforgiving and victories are hard-won.

Whilst easy to pick-up-and-play, there's nevertheless, plenty of longevity as the player learns the tracks and battles to outwit the computer-controlled opponents.
