I voted other as I want news and opinions but with added humor and banter!

Who cares, for me.

It's like video reviews of games where the reviewer seems to think we'd rather see footage of them reading from a script than we would watch footage of the game they are reviewing.

Podcast/shmodcast. I'd rather just play games.

If you get the opportunity try listening to a Joypod episode. You might find it informative as it can be and does give you opinions on a wide range of games. The one thing you will do though is giggle to yourself. If you don't, you're probably dead inside! ;)

Hey, I care. I enjoy a good podcast, sometimes over some of the crap that passes as tv these days.

I look for deep discussion of the industry topics and news. Doses of humor, swearing and banter are cool, to ease things. I enjoy Joypod, but still also listen to the insanity of GiantBombcast or CAGcast, or the long, deep thinking vibe of InGame Chat or Weekend Confirmed.

I see Spong is moving into video stuff of late. Interesting, but not sure about it, as there are plenty of games sites that do that, I think Spong should focus on the podcasts instead, as they are cheaper, easier to produce and can be as long as you want. I love a good 2-3 hour show at times.

I'd like to see Spong still continue with Spongcast, next to JoyPod. Besides, I feel Spong can learn a fair bit from Joypod and others podcasts. The net doesn't need another IGN, but more unique, fan based and individual is a better way to go. If you want other suggestion for Spong, Tim I'll add a list next time.
