Avanquest's history stretches back to 1984 when BVRP Software, its progenitor, was formed by Bruno Vanryb and Roger Politis. BVPR enjoyed great success in the PC utility software sector, especially with its range of fax and communication software.

In June 2003 BVPR launched the Avanquest brand as a home to its global publishing services, establishing offices in France, Germany, Spain, UK and the US.

BVPR announced, in June 2005, that it was consolidating the BVPR and Avanquest brands into a single entity; Avanquest Software.

Software Highlights from Credited Titles

Avanquest's first work that SPOnG is aware of is the 2006 title, "Peppa Pig: Activity Pack" (PC).

The company has been involved titles released on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, PC, 3DS/2DS, Wii U, Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, DS/DSi and Mac. Of these, "Junior Brain Trainer" (DS/DSi), "Empire: Total War" (PC), "Hidden Mysteries: Titanic" (DS/DSi), "Napoleon: Total War" (PC), "Jewel Quest Mysteries Curse of the Emerald Tear" (PC) has been a best selling title.

The company's most recent involvement was on the 2018 release "Mountain Trap 2: Under the Cloak of Fear" (PC).
