Summary

Aqua attack is simply a side-on scrolling boating game; but with a difference. While in most games of the genre shoot forward just circle round the screen aquattack give a more original experience by being restricted to shooting vertically up or down, also the boat only moves forward and diagonally this creates a bigger area to shoot and accounts for more accurate shooting do to the time delay on the firing button. on the first level the isn't a hand full of enemies or plenty of obstacles; far from.

Level 1 is dedicated to a large stretch of river with a railway track situated at the top and the bottom which is populated by the occasional tank and an annoying helicopter that cannot be shot down do to its flying. Other than that the only items of eye-candy are a few longs and lily pads. The level is added extra depth by the screen inverting half way through the level. There are simply three different ways to tackle this level; floor it, put the pedal to the metal and step on the gas and lag in the center of the screen waiting for fuel. Although it works it doesn't give the same satisfaction of shooting in multiple directions to waste the enemies.
