Summary

Fans of the popular military strategy title, Command and Conquer, can rejoice on the arrival of Command and Conquer: Red Alert. Released on PlayStation, this long-awaited sequel boasts a huge plethora of new levels on which to blast away the enemy.

Red Alert is about strategy. If you’re not a fan of strategy and don’t have a lot of patience, then stay away, otherwise, get stuck in! Upon starting up Red Alert, you will be introduced to a cinema like FMV sequence, explaining exactly what this title is all about.

While graphics are simple, Westwood Studios have utilised the free space to provide a cinematic story line through the use of FMV. And it works. Many of the missions are so huge, that you will need to listen to what your commander wants if you are to stand a chance of completing the mission. Make no mistake; while this is a slow paced title for the majority, the amount of on-screen action can be overwhelming.

This is a great sequel for fans of the original. If you already own C&C, then you will want to get hold of this title.
