Summary

Fans of hardman Bruce Willis and the Die Hard Trilogy will be pleased to see a PlayStation incarnation of the film. Die Hard Trilogy is essentially three separate games tied together using the Die Hard Licence. It’s not often that mis-mashes of games work, but in this case they do.

Die Hard Trilogy is an immensely playable adventure/shoot 'em up that allows you to wear Bruce Willis' vest and career through all three Die Hard movies. The first part of the game involves you making your way through a skyscraper. The odds are stacked against you, can one man take out a whole army of terrorists and come out alive? We all know that games and films are completely removed from reality and that’s why we like them. You will have to use your fists and your brains if you want to succeed. Making use of the weapons on offer also helps. There are seemingly inexhaustible levels to play through, there's all the terrorists you could want, waiting for you to blow them away.

The second part of Die Hard Trilogy involves an airport under siege. This part of the game is a shooting simulation. It is best played with a light-gun but the pad works fairly well. Make sure you don’t accidentally shoot the innocent bystanders.

The final part of Die Hard Trilogy puts you in the position of tracking down a crazy bomber who is on the loose in a crowded city. He is laying bombs in public places and you need to get to them before they explode killing pedestrians. This is a driving game against the clock with extremely high stakes, don’t crack under the pressure.

You'd better play hard.
