Summary

Players of the game assume the role of Max Maverick, a lone warrior, whose job is to save his planet from invading alien creatures from an unknown world. The game is 2D isometric scrolling, with over 40 different types of aliens to contend with. Basically, the premise of the game is to blast anything and everything that comes in your direction. To help Max on his journey there are plenty of power-ups to be found, including health, ammunition and of course extra firepower.

The gameplay in Isolated Warrior is very enjoyable and should keep even the most experienced gamer amused. Controlling Mr Maverick is straightforward enough and even someone's mother could have a bash at the game. The graphics are good considering it is for an 8-Bit machine, with clear sprites and smooth action. Both the music and sound effects are okay, which is something of a rarity in a NES game.

Overall, Isolated Warrior is something of an unknown quantity and begs to be rediscovered.
