This enjoyable carting style game fell foul of the PC audience's snobbery about 2D games. Released when the whole PC gaming world had 3D fever, World Rally Fever fell flat, despite being a fast, furious and fun racing game.
For a 2D game, WRF was extremely attractive, and it ran lightning fast on even modest hardware. There's nothing to suprise in the gameplay, except for the occasional stray sheep and the odd bump and jump. A host of tracks, a bunch of cars and first over the finish line is the winner. But WRF is fun enough if you spot a copy in a bargain bin.
