Summary

Galerians is a third-person adventure title spread across a huge three CD’s. Similar to the ever-popular Resident Evil series, you get to take on the role of Rion, a fourteen-year-old boy who awakens in a scientific lab. He is very confused, and oblivious as to what is going on around him. He only knows that he has been given some kind of psychokinetic powers, and this is where Galerians begins.

If you have played the Resident Evil series, you will immediately recognise the similarities in graphics and controls. You are a polygonal character in the world of pre-rendered backgrounds. After a mysterious FMV introduction, you begin by psychically freeing yourself from your restraints, and accidentally killing one of the scientists just through asking one question. After realizing your capabilities you have to make your way out of the facility and discover just what is going on.

A big feature of Galerians is the sheer amount of video footage. There is around 70 minutes of FMV in which the story is told, just so you can keep track of what is going on. The story is the main concentration for this graphic adventure. It will retain your interest for a long time to come.
