Summary

Football Management simulation Giant Killers was always the type of game to invite a sequel, and here it is. Not just a sequel, though, more like a complete overhaul.

The game engine, navigation system, graphics and match reporting have all been subject to tweaks, improvements and design modifications for this Euro edition. The crux of the game however, hasn’t changed at all. Giant Killers is still purely about football, and not the big business manoeuvres that go on behind the scenes. Don’t worry about the financial health of your club and all the trials and tribulations associated with it. It’s all taken care of.

The choice is completely your own when kicking off with Giant Killers. You can choose a small club, hopefully one that’s just been given a major cash injection, and take your minnows up the leagues and onto domestic cup and maybe even European success. Those with bigger ambitions may choose to get straight into the big league, so to speak, and take charge of one of the legendary names in European soccer. You pick the team, choose the tactics, and sit on the edge of your seat as the ‘action’ unfolds.

The original Giant Killers was an ideal starting point for inexperienced types, looking to dip their toe in the depths of footy sims. The Euro Manager 2000 version plays along the same lines, but in a bigger and better way.
