Is this the future of Formula 1 or CART Racing? With the technical limitations of modern technology and safety regulations, there is a current limit to the top speed of these high-speed machines. Enter CART Fury on the PlayStation 2, where you can always walk away from high-speed catastrophes and your car is equipped with a turbo boost.
F1 or CART games tend to be simulations that require practice and skill. CART Fury on the other hand comes from the arcade, where fun and playability reign supreme. This game is for all racing fans and may even appeal to the unconverted. When you have sufficiently developed your skills, you can try the simulation mode that features more realistic handling and even tougher competition.
This is high-action, fast-paced racing at its finest. Even at ludicrous speeds, the frame rate never falters and remains at a smooth 60 frames per second. Each lap, you have a limited amount of boost that gives you a massive jolt of extra speed. Use this boost wisely, to avoid crashes and for extra acceleration coming out of corners. If you put in a really quick lap time, you will be rewarded with superboost. Superboost speaks for itself, but watching the car deform and the wheels burst into flames is awesome.
