The GBA port is not likely to bear much resemblance technically to the PS2 and XBOX versions but it is essentially the same game.
As the story goes, Formula 1 racing has become boring so the drivers, teams and public have decided to move on to ‘pastures more exciting’. Condemned by the F1A for being too dangerous, this new league is banned from using the worlds F1 circuits so therefore decide to race on roads in and around mayor cities. Technology plays a big part in the game with the relaxed rules allowing for the customisation and enhancement of the vehicles, the aim being to maximise speed and ‘Downforce’.
The game features ten cars and drivers and eight tracks including places such as Florida, Hong Kong, Geneva, Tokyo, and Las Vegas. Game modes include Arcade Trophy, Time Attack, Free Race and Championship.
The developers claim to have created incredibly detailed environments as well as faithful handling and speed. These, coupled with the reported audio and visual achievements of the game certainly make it one to look out for.
