Summary

Regular cinema-goers cannot fail to be aware of the Disney-produced animated feature Lilo and Stitch. The film is about a genetically engineered alien who escapes to earth and befriends a Hawaiian girl with a penchant for voodoo. Now you can't say that's not an original concept! Released so as to tie in with the movie, Lilo and Stitch on the Game Boy Advance follows a story that is set after the film's events.

On discovering that his new Hawaiian chum has been kidnapped, Stitch sets off travelling around the universe to find her. Meanwhile, Lilo is left in a predicament in which she must use all her wits to escape the bad guys until her alien hero arrives.

Playing alternately as both the central characters, players take on the evil Dr Pestus and his band of equally nasty alien cohorts. Play takes place mostly in the standard, arcade-style, 2D-platform view, featuring a combination of running, jumping, exploration and puzzle solving. But a second, alternative viewpoint comes into play in the form of a third person, 3D-style space game, as Stitch pilots a vehicle across the universe.

As Stitch, players face a series of action-orientated arcade-style challenges, while as Lilo, the idea is to solve puzzles and explore. Eventually, the two are reunited and play continues with both as they travel through an alien city in search of a way home. It isn't very long, however, until Dr. Pestus arrives with his nefarious minions to kidnap Lilo once again.

Aimed at the 6-12 years age group, this game is not intended to appeal to the masses. But then again you could also say that about the film.
