Summary
Smash Court Tennis Pro Tournament gives you the chance to travel the globe, taking on the world's top players at some of the most glamorous and prestigious tournaments on the tour. You'll play in real-life tournaments, including Wimbledon and the Australian Open, on accurately modelled courts.
This new version features some of the top male and female players in the world, all waiting to take up your challenge. Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, and Patrick Rafter from the Men's Tour, and Martina Hingis, Anna Kournikova, Monica Seles and Lindsay Davenport from the Women's are all represented. Advanced motion capturing technology ensures that they look like they're playing the shot you select, and mapped-on faces mean they look like the real thing.
The realism doesn't stop there, either. Camera coverage is of television quality, framing the action perfectly, while the excellent sound effects mean that when you hit a full-blooded smash you'll hear it thud into the back wall, and the crowd will react just like the real thing.
All this would be meaningless if the game didn't play well, of course. Fortunately, the processing power of the PS2 allows players to move about the court as quickly as their real-life counterparts; plus there's the tried-and-tested control system from previous versions of Smash Court.
