Summary

Based on the Spielberg sci-fi blockbuster of the same name, Minority Report on the Game Boy Advance is a third-person adventure in true Hollywood style. As you may expect, players face a great deal of challenges along the way, as they take on enemies, overcome obstacles, solve puzzles, and make use of a sizeable armoury of futuristic weapons and gadgets - all in a day's work for your average Tom cruise types.

Assuming the role of the movie's hero, Pre-crime officer John Anderton, players attempt to stop a military conspiracy from taking over the world. A combination of stealth, tactics, and firepower are required in order to succeed across the game's ten futuristic levels.

Throughout each of the levels, an array of enemies - both human and robot - lie in wait and must be dealt with severely. Hand-to-hand combat is good for starters but it's better to rely on the explosive arsenal of nifty weapons, such as Gel and Vortex rifles and Flash grenades, to do the job effectively.

As well as the impressive armoury, there are also a number of cool little gadgets to take advantage of along the way. For example, Hoverbots are used to search areas for hidden stores of ammo, health packs and shields, and also to aid players in attacking or defending themselves from enemies, and holographic mirrors can be used to project a player's image and confuse enemies. All impressive stuff.

Fans of the film will be pleased with the game's attention to detail - it's obviously not a carbon copy of the film, but it's remarkably faithful.
