Summary

Fugitive Hunter is a fast-paced first-person shooter that challenges players to hunt down and capture the world's most wanted fugitives. As Jake Seaver, a former Navy Seal and current Fugitive Recovery Agent, the player must pursue criminals too elusive for law enforcement agencies. He must balance analytical prowess and physical strength to gather clues and question contacts met in his journey.

The adventure begins in Miami, when a terrorist bomb destroys Seaver's home base at the Criminal Interdiction and Fugitive Recovery (CIFR) headquarters. Set on revenge, Seaver hunts those responsible through exotic locations worldwide, uncovering clues and unravelling a web of terror that leads to the Middle East.

Completing objectives and capturing fugitives alive will allow players to develop skills, gain reward money, and buy weapons needed to hunt increasingly dangerous criminals. Ultimately Jake will bring home the world's most wanted fugitives. In addition, players will earn extra cash by pursuing small-time criminals through various side missions. This extra cash gives players the buying power to upgrade their weapons.

Players will be armed with an impressive array of lethal and non-lethal weaponry including pistols, shotguns, taser shok rifles and even a surface-to-air missile launcher. With his cash limited at the beginning of the game, Seaver can only afford the bare essentials - an advanced handgun and a pneumatic fletchette dart gun. As his funds increase, he moves on to variable-ammo grenade-launchers and taser shock rifles. Among the more expensive artillery is the HIPPO gun, a high-pressure variable-liquid projectile weapon that can spray and ignite targets on fire. In addition the HIPPO can dispense small fuel-air bombs, ideal for cave-cleaning.

Although armed with a multitude of weapons, the player is not encouraged to kill his targets - killing fugitives results in a loss of reward money. Instead, the game stresses skill and cunning to overwhelm each target and force them into submission. During captures, the player attempts to bring fugitives in alive in a unique third-person mode.
