Summary

February 2005, and Contra returns with a new isometric 3D camera view, along with the series' much-admired signature gameplay. Bringing a more dynamic feel to the shooting action as well as more strategy in defeating hordes of enemies, the new viewpoint is only one of the many exciting features that help put Neo Contra at the top of the action titles tree.

Set in a future we'd rather not be a part of, thankyou, Neo Contra continues the adventures of the legendary Bill Rizer, and introduces a new character to the series in Genbei Jaguar Yagyu, a mysterious Samurai. With his own set of moves and personalised weapons, this new character gives players a whole perspective on the Contra experience. Three dimensions, new character...whatever next? Well, players also get a host of new weapons, a new Hit Rate system to keep tabs on scoring, and even more lovingly-rendered CG cut-scenes. Battling their way through large multi-tier levels and big, bad bosses, both newcomers and veteran fans of the Contra series can enjoy hours of deep and challenging gameplay.

Coming from the same Konami Tokyo team behind Contra: Hard Corps and Contra: Shattered Soldier, Neo Contra will not disappoint. Dedicated fans will delight in uncovering unlockable surprises throughout the game, and novices...well, apply right here.
