Bugs Bunny: Lost in Time
Join Bugs in his first ever 3D adventure as he accidentally activates a time machine, which looks for all the world that it's powered by carrot juice, and is propelled through the ages. Explore five different time zones-The Stone Age, Medieval Times, The Pirate Years, the 1930's and the mysterious Dimension X. Encounter twelve of Bugs' well known adversaries, such as Yosemite Sam and Marvin the Martian. Dive into rabbit holes, tunnel underground and outwit the inimitable Elmer Fudd, perhaps the best known of the lovable wabbit's antagonists. You can even get Bugs to use his ears as helicopter rotor blades-hilarious to look at, but difficult to control.
There are twenty-one levels of fun-packed comic humour here, and if you were ever tickled by the original Looney Tunes cartoons, you'll be laughing along with Lost in Time.
Sheep, Dog 'n' Wolf
Because it’s always more fun to play the bad guy, Sheep Raider allows players to assume the role of Ralf Wolf (aka Coyote) in a sheep-stealing quest of stealth. But your challenge is not going to be an easy one, since Sam Sheepdog is on the lookout and is highly protective of his herd. Other Looney Tunes characters, including Foghorn Leghorn, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig make appearances from time to time too, adding to the familiar feel.
The game takes place within a series of 3D environments that are far more lush than those seen in the PlayStation version. Textures are now smooth, the frame rate has been improved, and the flow of gameplay is much easier on the eye. But these environments are extremely tough and require some deep concentration to get around. You must learn to use your abilities to hide, sneak, creep and swim your way through the levels without getting caught. No Looney Tunes game would be complete without the infamous ACME gadgets, and Sheep Raider has plenty. To help you in your mission, you can make use of sheep perfume, umbrellas, ACME rockets and even a catapult sheep costume. The controls aren’t quite as simple as those seen on PlayStation, but given a reasonable controller from Microsoft or Saitek, Sheep Raider becomes much more fun to play.
The game takes place across 15 stages, each with their own requirements and challenges, so the longevity of the game is notable. As a complete game, Sheep Raider will not only appeal to Looney Tunes fans, but to anyone with a sense of humour and a penchant for puzzle games.
Taz: Wanted
Just another day in the Looney Tunes universe, then. Taz, fooling around with his sweetheart of a She-Devil when, all of a sudden, the skies darken. Trouble is coming in the form of motor-mouthed Sheriff Yosemite Sam. He's determined to make Taz his latest attraction at Sam Francisco Zoo. The lawman with the oversized hat captures Taz, puts him in a cage, and this is where your game starts.
Zoo management simulator fans can stop reading now, because Taz: Wanted is a traditional platformer/puzzler, not some point and click sedative. It's fur-flying activity from here on in, with our favourite devil having a few reservations about being locked up and stared at by visitors to Sam's zoo. As soon as the game begins, you break Taz out of his cage with a vicious spin and head straight for the Tutorial. This section will tell you all you need to know about how to progress through the game. What it won't tell you is just how tricky things can get in Taz: Wanted. The free-roaming approach favoured by the developer means that almost all corners of the game are ripe for exploration, and with four huge worlds at Taz's mercy, there's no shortage of places to go, things to do and disguises to wear. Ah yes, disguises. There are ways to make progress simpler for Taz: donning disguises to escape his captor's henchmen is one way. There are plenty of ACME twirls, bonus power-ups and postcards to collect along the way too. There will also be a few familiar faces from the Looney Tunes universe popping up throughout the game. Daffy Duck, Sylvester and Tweety, Wile E Coyote and Elmer Fudd are among the characters making an appearance.
