Summary
Strawberry Shortcake was a female doll made by American Greetings. She was made to smell like strawberries. There have been various Strawberry Shortcake products, including clothes, sticker albums and an Atari 2600 videogame entitled Strawberry Shortcake: Musical Match-ups which was released in the late 70s. It has taken nearly 30 years for another Strawberry Shortcake game to see the light of day, and now two have been released at once by The Game Factory: Strawberry Shortcake: Adventures in the Land of Dreams for the PS2 and Strawberry Shortcake: Strawberryland Games for the DS.
Strawberry Shortcake loves spending time with her many friends, including Ginger Snap, Orange Blossom, Raspberry Torte, Lemon Meringue and Angel Cake and is always looking out for them. Lately, some of her dearest friends have been unable to dream and have asked Strawberry Shortcake for help. Miss Shortcake decides to go to Dreamland to build new dreams for her friends. As you would. However, this is not as straightforward as one would picture, if you can imagine building dreams at all! Gamers must help Strawberry Shortcake on her journey to Dreamland and in her quest to help her friends dream again.
Strawberry Shortcake: Adventures in the Land of Dreams for the PS2 is a platform game with eight action packed levels and six mini-games. The game is set in four enchanting environments: Strawberryland, the Dreamboat, The Land of Dreams and the Dream Factory. There will be many obstacles in your way, including holes, various enemies, jumpers and unstable platforms, so take care, and may all your dreams may be sweet ones.
