Summary

Dr Frankenstein never had it easy, meddling with the kind of supernatural nastiness that mankind has no business messing with. The sticky situation the venerable doctor ultimately found himself in, however, has not stopped Eidos from putting gamers into a similar situation in Monster Lab.

Cast into the sinister world of Uncanny Valley, the player takes on the role of a young (and, we'd hazard, at least a little mad) scientist who must get to grips with an array of intricate experiments to build monsters. Ultimately, you're going to want an army capable of banishing the evil Baron Mharti, ruler of this twisted realm, from Uncanny Valley.

Once you've got your first monster, you'll be able to head out into the game world to search out monster ingredients, do battle with other nasties and uncover quests. Eidos boasts a massive 100-million possible monster part variations, so you'll want to get as many different body bits as possible.

As you build more and more monsters, you'll be able to choose from body parts such as crab claws, tentacles and guns for limbs, as well as head options pulled straight from robots, lizards and even the pumpkin patch!

After you've gone to all the trouble of creating your ideal beast, you'll be able to set it against those created by other owners of the game to see who is the greatest (most crazy, most deranged!) scientist of them all.
