Summary

If you're the sort of person who finds themselves poking around at the back of the washing machine to see what its little parts do, then the chances are there's a mad inventor inside you, trying his level best to come up with crazy contraptions to bust out. Why not spare him the hassle and set him loose on some puzzles in Crazy Machines?

Crazy Machines for the DS brings the fun of the series' PC games to a handheld for the first time. The premise is simple: you're faced with the game's work space, a menu containing various doodads and something that needs to be done. Starting with various fixed pieces, it's your job to bring in and place other bits and bobs from the menu to solve the puzzle.

Exclusive to the DS version is the new Action Mode, which sees players getting to grips with their crazy contraptions using the DS's unique input methods, including the stylus and touch screen and microphone.

Adding to the fun is a sandbox mode, in which players get to tinker with the bits and bobs at their disposal to produce their own inventions.

If you're not the most inventive person under the sun, however, fear not! There's the loveable professor on hand to act as your mentor and guide you through the game.
