Summary

Cate West is a budding crime writer with a strange gift - she is plagued by psychic visions, which end up being handy in solving various mysteries. She just doesn't know it yet.

Her home town of Arcadia City is rife with crime, with seemingly unsolvable mysteries that lead the police in circles. The cases have been dubbed "The Vanishing Files" and an exhausted local enforcement team enlists the help of Cate to see if her 'gift' can be the key to solving these criminal riddles.

With five different gameplay types to train that grey matter, Cate West: The Vanishing Files offers 75 levels split into 15 chapters across a whopping 29 locations. Using the Wii Remote to uncover hidden objects and clues in a spot-the-difference kind of puzzle, the first stage involves looking for various clues. After this, Cate will have two items of which fragments must be discovered, moving on to spotting discrepancies with two images and identifying criminals. The final segment of each chapter involves placing items back into two images to recreate the scene of the crime.

With so much to do, and a lot of interactivity involved, Cate West: The Vanishing Files is likely to be just the crime scene investigation you need.
