Summary
We've all had those moments when somebody asks “Who would you have in your dream football team, if you could only choose five players?” There are so many world-class players out there, it's difficult to choose! The musing soon turns into a six-hour meditation as to the pros and cons of each footy star.
With All Star 5-A-Side Football though, you can spare the headache and grab the Nintendo DS instead. Choose five of 24 superstars including Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas and Fernando Torres and put them to the test. Then you'll really be able to see how well your dream team will fare against the best of them.
Once you've built your team, it's a challenge to the top of the tournament as you engage in arcade-style 5-on-5 football matches. There are no huge distractions to worry about, just fast and furious foot and ball action. As your team progresses, you can train them in a range of skills and tricks such as overhead kicks and subtle flicks.
Special coaches and goalies become unlocked once you beat the three challenging tournaments waiting for you, but beyond that there's the opportunity to really test your mates' dream teams too in a frantic multiplayer mode. The game features local wireless functions or the Nintendo WiFi Connection for online play.
