Summary
Kirby is back – which will be a great relief to lovers of his previous outings going all the way back to the NES and SNES. In fact his DS version sees the spherical hero reliving the original SNES adventures.
But it doesn't stop there, of course, while the originals have been lovingly updated with new graphics, three new, touch-screen outings are also ready for Kirby and the player to conquer: Kirby Card Swipe, Kirby on the Draw and Snack Tracks.
Kirby must go up against King Dedede and Meta Knight, but never fear, this can be achieved with up to three friends via DS Download Play.
Adding to the fun and adventure is the fact that each of the new games features its own modes and challenges. For example, Kirby must stop King Dedede stealing all of Dream Land's food. As well as the classic adventure modes, there are also mini-games including Megaton Punch and Samurai Kirby.
In order to achieve the win, the player uses the DS's touchscreen to let Kirby inhale enemies and spit them out as stars as well as swallowing them to gain their abilities. Kirby can also use his talent to arm his helpers (controlled by other players or by the DS's AI) with extra abilities.
Fun for the retro gamer and to anybody new to the legendary video game icon.
