Developed by the team who brought the chilling House of the Dead survival horror outing to console, Segas Rise of Nightmares demands that the gamer keep their nerve and uses the Xbox Kinect full-body controller to do so.
The game sees the player having to survive one single, terrifying night as they attempt to make it to dawn in the face of attacks from the undead.
Armed with knives, chainsaws and sometimes simply their own bare hands the player has not only to defeat the evil horde, they also have to decipher the mystery of the disappearance of their in-game wife. They must find her before time runs out.
Rise of Nightmares is aimed squarely at the mature gamer who can withstand the onslaught of horror that unfolds.
Using Xbox Kinect, the gamer has to use their entire body to combat the ravages of the hidden and not-so-hidden enemy.
Somewhere in Viktors Castle is their wife, but clues must be solved and puzzles overcome as well as combat completed before the player can locate and hopefully save her. The castle is also packed with fiendish traps that must be spotted and defeated if any progress is going to be made at all.
