Summary

Exerbeat Gym Class Workout comes with 150 fitness-oriented activities that include different disciplines from dance, martial arts and body conditioning to enable the gamer to get fit using the Wii.

It’s not all serious stuff, though, as fun comes in the form of mini-game type party games, all of which – like the main activities – can be controlled with the standard Wii controllers or via the Wii Balance Board and Wii MotionPlus.

There’s no need to exercise alone, either, as the game will support up to two players at any one time to encourage competition or supportive play.

ExerBeat features an in-game personal trainer to help with customisable workout programs. These are supplemented with daily and weekly challenges to keep the gamer motivated. Also motivational is the data on estimated calories burned after each activity and records of activity that are reported on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Around the World mode even converts the user’s data into the equivalent distances walked across the globe for a visible progress record.

As the player’s Mii marches across 100 global locations gaining in fitness, each location reveals new exercises and modes. This mode is also available to multiple users on a single Wii so that records and achievements can be compared and competed with.
