Summary

Dual Pen Sports

Namco Bandai brings action sports to Nintendo’s DS with Dual Pen Sports. And as the name suggests, the player cab make use of two styluses – that’s a two-handed experience that calls for some pretty hardcore co-ordination. The game is, however, also aimed at the casual gamer who would appreciate a mix of ‘brain training’ type challenges with some out and out sporting fun.

There are seven sports to play through in the form of mini-games. These are complemented by a host of additional challenges including Home-Run Challenges to Archery, and even Soccer Penalty Kicks. In order to compete in the games - including football, baseball, archery, boxing, basketball, skiing and paragliding- and challenges, the player can create and customize their very own characters too.

Modes included in Dual Pen Sports include 'Rank Match' where the player competes to earn Athlete Points in each sport; 'Score Try', where the player can practice each sport and 'Daily Challenge', where the DS chooses a random a different sports challenge every day to challenge the gamer’s skills. Rounding things out are three ‘Touch Exercises’ to test mental and physical dexterity in challenges requiring both hands.

It’s not all solitary stuff either as the player can also use the Nintendo 3DS Local Play to play against their friends.
