Summary

Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 sees gamers hunting down and killing animals in Uganda. Be warned though, the main animal – the Kaftar - in the cross-hairs of the Top Shot Elite peripheral that accompanies the game is no ordinary beast: it is possessed.

The Top Shot Elite peripheral was developed by the same team at Activision that developed the Guitar Hero controllers, and is constructed to enable pin-point accuracy over a wireless connection. It comes with a red lens filter that exposes animal tracks and even blood trails to aid in the hunt. It also provides pump-action firing and a resizable gun stock to suit anybody.

The game follows the story of Cole Rainsford and his father as they seek to protect villagers from the terrorifying beasts that stalk the African environment. Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 involves tracking, fighting, even vehicle driving in your quest to find and hopefully defeat the Kaftar. Along the way the gamer needs not only to survive the terrain and animal attacks (including Lions, Leopards, Vultures, and snakes) but also to gain the trust of the local people including Mbeki the guide.

Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 features a full single-player story lead campaign along with head-to-head multiplayer options.
