Summary

Sid Meier's Civilization V: Gods and Kings is the first expansion pack for Civilization V, the highly regarded PC-based “God Game”.

This bundle covers the sweep of history, from the gamer's first Pantheon of the Gods in the times of the classical Greeks, well before the birth of Christ. Once the gamer has formed their base they must concentrate on spreading their religion across the world.

But, despite being a God Game it's not all about religion as the gamer must also advance their own civilization by creating an effective network of spies in enemy cities who will return valuable information and technological advances.

The idea is to move through time periods encountering new types of city, country and continental states; playing out quests and competing in global competitions for dominance.

Civilization V: Gods and Kings comes with nine brand new civilizations, nine new wonders and three original scenarios. There are also 27 new units (such as the Machine Gunner), 13 new buildings (like the Bomb Shelter), and nine new Wonders. Also included are three new Scenarios for modders to use.

These complement nine new civilizations, such as Carthage, Netherlands, the Celts, and the Maya with their own unique traits, units and buildings. The newly included expansion nine new leaders including William I, Prince of Orange, Boudicca and Pacal the Great.

There are also two brand new city states: Mercantile and Religious added to the mix and added to the newly overhauled quest system as has the combat system.
