Summary

As the name suggests, Learn With Pokémon: Typing Adventure, this title from developer Genius Sonority is a teaching aid. As such it also comes with peripherals to help.

The main add-on is the special Bluetooth-compatible, Nintendo Wireless Keyboard featuring the standard QWERTY key layout (as it is Bluetooth it will also work with other compatible devices). Also included are the Nintendo DS Compact Stand that can be used to position the Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSi, Nintendo DSi XL, Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 3DS XL system as your hands use the keyboard.

The basic idea of the aid is to track down all 400 Pokémon - including Legendary Pokémon – using a series of typing exercises. The gamer/student becomes the character of the latest member of the Elite Typists' Club. The exercises see the gamer typing in accurately and in a timely fashion the names of any Pokémon encountered as they quest to help Professor Quentin Werty and his assistant Paige Down with their research.

The program begins gently, with early levels only tasking you to type the first letter of a Pokémon’s name before moving you on to much trickier exercises as your typing skills develop.

Getting the games right means successful capture of each Pokémon in the Typing Ball, allowing your team to research them.

The further into the title the player progresses, the more rare the Pokémon are encountered. These include Legendary Pokémon like Reshiram and Zekrom from Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version.

The gamer will receive lessons in finger placement and tips on how to improve the accuracy and speed of their typing. There are 60 different levels and up to 180 medals to collect.
