Summary

Sure, we might all associate Mario more with leaping around and saving princesses than we do with swinging clubs and aiming for par, but the red-hatted plumber has had a fair few sports outings in his time. With Mario Golf: World Tour players can hit the green alongside a host of Mario favourites or get their very own Mii in on the action.

The game offers deep golf-based gameplay in which players can try their hand (and clubs) at a range of courses that will test even really experienced golf gamers. As well as the more standard stages, however, there are bonkers courses inspired by the world of Mario! As players progress they'll be able to upgrade their gear to really show off their prowess. If a quicker session is in order, however, Mario Golf World Tour can cater to you with match types such as aiming for the lowest stroke count, completing a course as quickly as possible or competing for coins in Challenges.

For players looking to go up against their friends, there are a couple of options. Get swinging using local player, or hit the links against gamers from all over the world through the 3DS's Internet connection. Players can even create their own massive tournaments, setting the rules up themselves!
