Spiders, the studio behind 2014's Bound by Flame, is back with a new action RPG. As the title suggests, the studio has ditched the high fantasy setting for a dystopian science fictional future. Players take on the role of Zachariah, one of the titular technomancers. These guys are mage warriors who harness electrical powers, amplifying them with cybernetic implants. They're warriors trained from a young age, both respected and feared by the other inhabitants of Mars. On the run from the secret police and facing the difficult environment of Mars, you'll explore cities buried under Mars's ice, forgotten paradises and broken shanties.
The gameplay is action-oriented, with four skill trees and three fighting styles that will hone and refine your electrical powers. Not everything's about strength, however, and many situations can be played out through the dynamic conversation trees. Craft weapons and armor and recruit allies if you want to best the corporations dominating the red planet.
