Summary
Until Dawn: Rush of Blood takes two types of game that are perfectly suited to virtual reality and brings them together for the launch of PSVR. Supermassive Games has brought 2015's surprise horror hit, Until Dawn, and given it a VR spin.
The game harks back to the lightgun games of old. The player finds themselves strapped into a rollercoaster car with what are initially presumed to be toy guns. That assumption is quickly thrown to the wind as it becomes apparent that the terrors trying to assault you are all too real. Zombies, killer clowns and Silent Hill-style monsters will lurch at you from the darkness and you have to be fast on the trigger if you want to survive! Blast away hard enough at the evil coming your way and you just might survive until dawn...
On-rails shooter mechanics are a great fit for virtual reality. The player is free to look around at the nasties trying to destroy them without having to worry about directional control. Two PlayStation Move controllers can be used as your weapons to further deepen the immersion, or you can take a more traditional approach with the DualShock 4.
Make your way through mental hospital, spooky woods, a delapidated carnival and more, and see if you can survive the horror to tell the tale...
