Summary

There are few paces in our universe that are more conducive to terror than outer space. Outer space wants to kill you. It traps you in perilously thin spacecraft. It leaves you with nowhere to hide. Welcome to Syndrome, a survival horror game that calls to mind sci-fi horror classics such as Alien and Event Horizon.

You wake up on a deserted spaceship, confused and disoriented by cryosleep. Instead of being greeted by your crewmates, you discover that they're all dead or... changed. Against this terrifying backdrop, your one job is to work out what happened here and figure out how to escape this claustrophobic environment alive.

Your first instinct will probably be to arm yourself, and that might help a little. Crafting your own tools of violence by modifying what you find might get you a little way, too. But weapons and ammo are scarce and not up to the task of dealing with the enemies that surround you. If you want to make it off this ship, hiding, using stealth, breathing noiselessly and manipulating your environment are paramount. Your enemies are highly reactive, and they'll follow sounds and investigate disturbances. Maybe that can be used to your advantage too, though...

If you really want to raise the hairs on the back of your neck, you can even immerse yourself more fully with virtual reality support.

Syndrome is a deeply psychological scarefest. Venture into space only if you dare...
