Summary

It was never likely that Capcom was going to let the Street Fighter series' 30th anniversary go unmarked. To celebrate, we have Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers (surely a contender for the title of Game With the Longest Title ever, henceforth to be know as USF2TFC).

The game is essentially a deluxe version of the original. It comes with a crystal clear HD reskin courtesy of Udon, the publisher responsible for a plethora of Street Fighter comics, though purists need not fear for the look of their game thanks to the option to play it in its original 16 bit glory.

The major selling point for many fans, though, will be the opportunity to play USF2TFC not only in HD on their big screen, but also on the go thanks to the Switch's on-the-go functionality. There are new single player and multiplayer modes thrown in, including something pretty new for Street Fighter fans - the option to team up with the co-operative Buddy Battle mode.

All the classic characters such as Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Bison are present and accounted for, but the roster is bolstered with two new arrivals in the form of Evil Ryu and Violent Ken.

Rounding all that out for fans is a digital art book allowing them to take a deep dive into the world of Street Fighter!
