Summary

Old cartoons: whimsical and charming, or mind-warping and creepy? It won't take long playing Bendy and the Ink Machine to figure out where Rooster Teeth Games falls on the subject.

In the game you play as Henry, once the lead animator at Joey Drew Studios, an animation house best known for its beloved character Bendy. Many years later Henry receives an invitation from Joey Drew himself to call in at the old workshop for a look around. What awaits isn't at all what Henry's expecting, though. Cobwebs cover everything, the studio is falling apart and the ink machine, once the heart of the operation, is misbehaving. Ink seeps through the walls, gushes from pipes and blocks your access to certain parts of the workshop. And someone else is there, moving through the studio to write messages on walls and mess with your sense of reality.

What follows is a first-person adventure horror game. You'll solve puzzles, fight monsters and generally attempt not to jump right out of your skin as you try to untangle the mystery around you.

The real star of the show is probably the sepia-soaked game world itself, in which reality and Bendy's world seem to have blended together in an eerie house of horror.
