Summary

Trüberbrook is part Twin Peaks, part Wallace and Gromit, all idiosyncratic.

Set in the rural Germany of the 1960s (which is pretty weird for starters), the game follows a young American physicist who goes by the name of Tannhauser. Tannhauser has won a raffle he doesn't remember entering to go to a town he's never heard of. Things get even odder for him really quickly.

Within 12 hours he's found himself involved with a creepy hospital, the leftover tech of a rather sinister corporation and a robbery. From there... well, let's just say that Trüberbrook gives you a strange and eccentric puzzle and points you towards solving it.

The game is an old school point and click adventure, meaning you'll explore environments, solve puzzles and chat to locals on your quest to get to the bottom of things. There's nothing old school about the game's strongest selling point, however - the visuals.

Everything in the game was laboriously built in miniature then scanned into the game and animated. That means it looks like you're wandering around the world's best model train set, or a Wallace and Gromit film, if you will.

It all comes together as a compelling package that's bound to appeal to fans of hand-crafted animation or just straight-up weird fiction.
