Summary

In a world of brutal, brooding Souls-inspired game and the grizzly low fantasy of Game of Thrones, the Trine series has always offered a lighter, fresher breed of fantasy. More Terry Pratchett than George R.R. Martin and more Fables than Bloodborne, it never the less offers delightful and, at times, fiendish platforming.

To celebrate the release of Trine 4 developer Frozenbyte and publisher Modus Games have packaged the first three games into this Ultimate Collection right alongside the new game so that a whole new generation of fans can experience this fan favourite series.

In Trine 4 things have moved back into two and half dimensions after Trine 3's brief flirtation with the third one. That means that it's back in the series' old mode of sidescrolling platforming with plenty of physics-based platforming baked in.

After years spent pursuing their own agendas Amadeus, Pontius, and Zoya are thrust back together when the Astral Academy calls up on them to save the day from a very strange kind of disaster. The intense and rather frightening dreams of Prince Selius have started seeping into reality and they're wreaking havoc. The dynamic combo of thief, knight, and wizard must once again reunite to find the prince and stop things from descending into all-out madness. Players will scour haunted tombs, incredible ruins, tranquil birch groves and blueberry forests as they embark on the biggest Trine adventure yet.

There's four-player multiplayer on offer, either from your couch or online, and the puzzles will dynamically adjust based on the number of players in the mix.

It's all delivered in a hand-drawn, whimsical style that aims to delight and charm the pants off you.
