Prior to joining Red Storm, John served as an officer in the United States Army where the military prepared him for his duties here by giving him an insight into creating strategy/wargames that most producers of these products do not have. While working at the National Training Center, the world’s premier force-on-force training area, he spent several years studying advanced military technology and tactics, and applied this knowledge to missions which “never happened’ (according to official military reports).
In preparation for the production of Force 21, John contacted his old buddies at the Training Center and arranged for his production team to do some light research for the game — riding with the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment during an attack. John received a bachelor of science degree in U.S. History with a minor in Political Science from Arizona State University. He then attended George Washington University and received his master’s degree in International Affairs with emphasis on Middle Eastern Culture, Society and Military History.
