Sega Rosso is the smallest of Sega's development houses, employing around 40 people in their Tokyo offices. Formerly known as Sega R&D Soft #5 (or AM5), Sega Rosso became an independent company in July 2000. The word "rosso" means "red" in Italian, and was chosen from the desire to express a new side of Sega (which uses blue as its corporate color). This arcade-focused company is headed by president Kenji Sasaki.
The company has been involved titles released on the Dreamcast.
